Creating and maintaining healthy workplaces
Consultancy Matters provides a suite of workplace conflict resolution services specialising in alternatives to adversarial investigations.
Our services include workplace culture reviews through to mediation and conflict coaching and provision of training in discrimination, psychosocial hazards and conflict management.
What sets us apart?
We specialise in resolving workplace conflict without escalating risk.
With the introduction of psychosocial hazards into WHS legislation, bullying is now recognised as one of many psychosocial risks, not a standalone issue. Many workplace complaints reflect unresolved conflict, poor communication, or systemic disconnects rather than misconduct requiring fault‑finding investigations.
Our approach prioritises conflict resolution over blame. We focus on identifying patterns, themes, and contributing factors, and supporting parties to reach practical, forward‑focused resolution.
This approach ensures that:
issues are addressed without escalating psychosocial risk
matters are not further inflamed by adversarial processes
working relationships are not unnecessarily divided (or further divided)
Effective conflict resolution can:
resolve the issue early and constructively
improve communication and working relationships
mitigate or eliminate psychosocial and organisational risk
reduce lost productivity and disengagement
reduce the likelihood of workers’ compensation or other claims
increase morale, trust, and overall productivity
